Happy Friday! This is Kaiya Burnam with your June 7th Report. Today's report differs from the usual because there was a beach clean-up and trees were planted in Playa Garza this morning! Students from Garza's school collaborated with local volunteers and SN team members to pick up trash from the beach, and plant three species of native trees (Cortez Amarillo, Almendros, and Almendros del Rio) throughout Garza. A big thank you to everyone who showed up to serve the community!
There will be a beach clean-up tomorrow (June 8th), organized by The Seventh Wave Foundation. It will be at the Boca, Pelada at 8am.
There will also be a reforestation campaign held in Guiones (Bakers Beach) by Costas Verdes at 7:30am.
